Porquê o dia 8 de Março?

Neste dia, do ano de 1857, as operárias têxteis de uma fábrica de Nova Iorque entraram em greve, ocupando a fábrica, para reivindicarem a redução de um horário de mais de 16 horas por dia para 10 horas. Estas operárias que, nas suas 16 horas, recebiam menos de um terço do salário dos homens, foram fechadas na fábrica onde, entretanto, se declarara um incêndio, e cerca de 130 mulheres morreram queimadas. Em 1910, numa conferência internacional de mulheres realizada na Dinamarca, foi decidido, em homenagem àquelas mulheres, comemorar o 8 de Março como "Dia Internacional da Mulher".

No século XIX, as mulheres lutaram pelo direito ao sufrágio. Na década de 60, discutia-se a conquista do espaço público. Será que, nos dias que correm, ainda faz sentido um dia internacional da mulher?

Muitos dirão que o dia internacional da mulher perdeu o seu sentido porque homens e mulheres gozam dos mesmos direitos. A ignorância é ousada!

Apesar dos direitos conquistados as mulheres continuam a ser vítimas de discriminação, de violência doméstica, de exploração laboral, sexual.....

Em cada residência, a brutalidade tornou-se a principal causa de invalidez e de mortalidade.
Conforme os países, de 25% a 50% das mulheres são vítimas de maus-tratos. Em Portugal, por exemplo, 52,8% das mulheres declaram ter sido objecto de violência por parte do marido, namorado ou amante. Na Alemanha, três mulheres são assassinadas a cada quatro dias por homens que viviam com elas, o que representa 300 por ano. Na Grã-Bretanha, uma mulher é assassinada, nas mesmas circunstâncias, a cada três dias. Em Espanha, uma a cada quatro dias, quase cem por ano. Em França, em decorrência de agressões masculinas no lar, morrem seis mulheres por mês – uma a cada cinco dias.
Considerando a totalidade dos 15 Estados da União Europeia (antes da ampliação para 25), morrem mais de 600 mulheres por ano – quase duas por dia! – vítimas da brutalidade machista no seu círculo familiar.

A prostituição é o triunfo das desigualdades e injustiças sociais, uma prática quotidiana da discriminação, do peso das tradições, dos preconceitos, da cultura, dos papéis historicamente atribuídos.
O mundo com todos os seus níveis de subdesenvolvimento cruéis (de pobreza, cujas mulheres são as maiores vítimas) transforma-se numa reserva gigantesca de mulheres, jovens e crianças para a indústria global do sexo.
Segundo a ONU, quatro milhões de mulheres e raparigas são anualmente compradas em todo o mundo. Os traficantes romenos leiloam ucranianas, búlgaras, romenas e russas por 511,3 € a compradores que as violam e espancam, brutalizam e exploram de forma a domá-las através do terror.
As mulheres são assim reduzidas à escravatura que se torna um mercado forte e lucrativo.
A pobreza tem rosto de mulher! Por todo mundo, o número de mulheres pobres é muito superior ao do sexo oposto. Estas continuam a ocupar posições mais desfavoráveis que os homens ao nível das profissões, salário e desemprego. Portugal é o país da União Europeia com a maior taxa de pobreza, sendo as mulheres as mais atingidas. Exercendo o mesmo tipo de actividade profissional as mulheres ganham menos do que os homens, cerca de 20%. A somar a todas estas desigualdades, condições específicas da mulher como o período de gravidez e lactação, é motivo de pressões e despedimentos.

No conjunto da actividade profissional e da vida familiar as mulheres trabalham mais 2 horas por dia do que os homens, dedicando às tarefas domésticas mais tempo. São as mulheres que asseguram a quase totalidade dos cuidados diários a adultos e dependentes. Enquanto que os homens dispõem de uma hora a mais para actividades de lazer. Hoje em dia já se vai ouvindo falar que alguns homens até ajudam nas tarefas de casa, mas quando virá o dia em que as tarefas sejam realmente partilhadas, sem prejuízo de sobrecarga ou exploração da outra parte?

A mulher é a principal vítima da idealização que é feita a toda a hora de um ser feminino, lindíssimo e escultural, que na verdade não existe a não ser por trás das objectivas das câmaras. As indústrias da moda e da publicidade, a televisão, o negócio dos cosméticos, etc. tratam de impingir esse modelo a cada momento. Mulheres, particularmente jovens e adolescentes, vêem-se arrastadas para um ideal que lhes é exigido: um corpo inatingível e uma frescura que nada tem a ver com a vida atribulada do quotidiano. Esta exploração da imagem da mulher é utilizada como ferramenta inerte e fria que atropela a dignidade humana para que alguns possam simplesmente alcançar mais lucros.


Pois que se faça do dia internacional da mulher, não um dia que celebramos de ano a ano, mas façamo-lo todos os dias, lutando contra a injustiça, a violência, a desigualdade, a exploração...

Lembremos que as Burkas estão em toda a parte e que estas ocultam um rosto feminino.

Continua a ser importante lutar contra o PATRIARCALISMO e os vários tipos de machismo e de discriminac,äo das mulheres...Sobretudo quando sabemos que ao contrário de algumas regiöes da Terra, noutras as mulheres continuam a ser tratadas como "gato sapato" .
Só que assim como ao falarmos de HUMANIDADE temos que perceber a que parte da HUMANIDADE nos referimos - à que oprime a outra ou à que é oprimida pela outra - também ao falarmos de MULHERES e de HOMENS teremos provávelmente de fazer o mesmo...Porque há @s oprimid@s e @s opressor@s...Ou näo?... Porque a sociologia näo é uma batata - e a sociologia libertária ainda menos ! E näo é porque agora podem existir mulheres soldadas e polícias - ou também patroas, gestoras, ministras, etc... que se pode dizer que a MULHER está mais emancipada...Algumas "estäo" (à custa tanto de outras mulheres como de outros homens PROLETARIZAD@S: Mas...e a maioria ???

Que há de comum entre as mulheres operárias que puseram aquela fábrica ,onde trabalharam durante anos sob a batuta dos patröes -creio que em Freixo-de-Espada-à-Cinta, em autogestäo ou as que teem de "vergar-a-mola" em trabalhos insalubres ou as que teem que se prostituir para alimentar os filhos e que ainda apanham porrada dos chulos ou dos maridos (alguns explorados como elas - o que os näo desculpa , claro!) e aquelas damas "da alta", que escrevem manuais de boas-maneiras, que ocupam o tempo nos seus chás e "festas de tias " , que estäo no top da política, que nunca tiveram de trabalhar (de alguma forma) para sobreviver, que säo directoras de empresas, gestoras, etc...?

Mas também a das crianc,as, a dos jovens ,a dos idosos -porque também existe uma "adultocracia" e uma "idadeidealocracia" -e às vezes até uma "juvenilocracia" (e algumas vezes ,localizadamente, até uma gerontocracia e uma matriarcalocracia).
